    This is the T. E. Stockwell, wholesale tea dealer, who first supplied tea to Jacob "Jack" Kohen in 1924. Stockwell was a partner in Torring and Stockwell, tea dealers of Mincing Lane, London. Kohen used Stockwell's initials, TES, in the name of his new company, Tesco.

    I'm quite excited about this discovery. I can't find any other information on the web about who T. E. Stockwell was - in fact I was beginning to doubt that he existed - so this might be an original scoop for Wikitree. Even better, he's linked to the global tree..2
  • Business-Owner*: He and Thomas Waller Torring were owners of the business Torring & Stockwell, Wholesale Tea Dealers, 90 Lr Thames st in 1907.3
