  • (Witness) Memorial Inscription: He is commemorated on the headstone erected by David Cobb writer in 1877 at Mains & Strarthmartine, Forfarshire, Scotland, . Inscription reads by David and Matilda Johnston Cobb, in remembrance of their uncle William Cobb, who died at East Mains of Fintry on 5th February 1877, aged 89 years.
    The above Matilda Johnston Cobb died Tay Park West Ferry Dundee, 11th August 1889 and intered here.
