Inscription reads 1838 smith's crown, hammer & anvil "Our Art Over ALL" by Helen Garland imo h Thos Catanach blacksmith here 6.5.1836 44, chn Alex 6.1.1821 2, Agnes 3.1.1830 16, Duncan 19.3.1830 17.¹
