    DEATH CLAIMS BUSINESS HEAD
    George Pitkethly, 671 East Sixty-fifth, founder and organizer of Pitkethly Bros., died today at his home. He was 72.
    He had resided in Vancouver 32 years.
    Mr. Pitkethly was born in New. burgh, Fifeshire, Scotland, and was for many years engaged in the stone quarry business in Scotland. He came to Vancouver in 1911, and was employed by the B.C. Electric Railway Co.
    For the past 20 years he was in the building supply business, operating the firm of Pitkethly Bros.
    MEMBER A.F. & A.M.
    He had been associated with Masonic Order for the past 50 years.
    He was a life member in Scotland of Lindore Lodge, and in Vancouver was affiliated with Trinity Lodge No. 98.
    Surviving are three sons, David, Thomas, George; four daughters, Mrs. H. Ward, Mrs. H. Brown, Janet Pitkethly, Mrs. W. Spence, all of Vancouver; a brother and a sister in Scotland; seven grand- children and a great-grandchild in Vancouver.
    Final tribute will be paid Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. in Mount Pleasant Chapel with Rev. T. S. Paton officiating.
    Interment will take place at Mountain View Cemetery.5

Stanley of 1445 West 73rd Ave., in her 75th year. Mrs. Stanley was born in Newburgh, Fifeshire, Scotland, and was a longtime resident of Vancouver. She was a life member and Past Matron of the Maple Leaf Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star and was a member of the Daughters of Scotia. She is survived by and deeply mourned by her brother, George Pitkethly and sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Brown and Mrs. Edith Spence. Funeral service Wednesday, October 27th at 1 p.m. in the Dogwood Chapel, Fraser St. at 38th Ave. Rev. H. Illsey officiating, cremation. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Maple Leaf Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star. Arrangements by HAMILTON MORTUARY LTD. Phone 324-3851.7
