Inscription reads Erected by William Paterson in loving memory of his dear wife Margaret Kilhooley who died 28th October 1948 aged 32 years; Also his mother Helen Summerton Paterson who died 14th January 1949 aged 67 years; And his younger brother Edward who died in infancy 7th March 1925; Edward Summerton Paterson 1937-2004.1
