Inscription reads 1856. erected by James Milne in memory of his five children who died in infancy. Also his son James who died August 1838 aged 12 years. The above James Milne, died 9th January 1862 aged 64 years. Also his wife Marjery Matthew died 8th November 1873 aged 78 years.7,8
