  • He was the son of Joseph Thomas Aldridge and Catherine Elmer.1
  • Marriage*: Earnest John Aldridge married Gwendoline Elizabeth Hardy on Sunday, 12 February 1928 at St Mary's Roman Catholic Chapel, Stanley, Falkland Islands, ; Ernest, a carter, was married to Gwendoline Elizabeth HARDY 12 February 1928 at St Mary's Roman Catholic Chapel, Stanley by Special Licence by Mario Louis Migone, Priest in Charge. The witnesses were M Gleadell, Dorothy E Hardy, A P Hardy and H Aldridge. Ernest’s father was recorded as Joseph Aldridge, caretaker, and Gwendoline’s father was recorded as Albert Hardy, dealer.1
  • Death*: Earnest John Aldridge died on 17 January 1953 at Stanley, Falkland Islands, , at age 57; Ernest, age 57 and a labourer, died 17 January 1953 in Stanley from coronary thrombosis and was buried 20 January.1
