  His gravestone reads: Sacred to the memory of Thomas Aldridge. For many years a resident of this Colony. Who died 16 July 1873. Aged 41 years. Much respected by all who knew him.

• Property Purchase*: He was purchased a property at at The Rose Hotel, Falkland Islands, on 8 October 1864 Thomas, licensed victualler, purchased the site of the now Rose Hotel on 8 October 1864 for £112. The premises were briefly known as the Star Hotel but soon changed to the Rose Hotel which was the name of the public house that Thomas had had on another site.³
• Will*: He left a will on 8 October 1871; In Thomas’ will dated 8 October 1871 he stated that his business was to be continued on until his youngest child reached 21 or
  married then his estate was to be divided with his wife having two shares and his children to have the remaining shares divided equally between them.³
