The Falkland Islands Magazine of April 1912 reported: On March 3rd one of the oldest and most respected of the inhabitants of Stanley, was laid in her last resting place in the Stanley Cemetery. Mrs Willans had been in delicate health for some time, and bore her severe attacks of pain with exemplary patience and resignation. Lovingly tended to the end by her family and relatives, she passed peacefully away; her presence will be sadly missed by all her friends and acquaintances. Her gravestone reads: In loving memory of my dear mother Marian Willans who died 28 Feb 1912 age 78 years.^2,3
