  • Birth*: Charles Emery Aldridge was born on 18 March 1864 at Falkland Islands, ; Charles Enery ALDRIDGE born 20 March 1864 in Stanley and baptised 15 September 1864 by Holy Trinity Church. His father's occupation was recorded as publican, Rose Hotel.4,5
  • He was the son of Thomas Aldridge and Mary Ann Price.2,3
  • (Groom) Marriage*: Charles Emery Aldridge married Adele Edith Fleuret, daughter of Augustus Nicholas Fleuret and Margaret Ellen Warren, on 6 August 1891 at Stanley, Falkland Islands, ; Charles Emery Aldridge, age 27 and an assistant storekeeper, was married to Adele Edith FLEURET, age 20, 6 August 1891 in the Service room according to the Rites and Ceremonies of the Established Church by Licence by Lowther E Brandon MA Colonial Chaplain. The witnesses were A N Fleuret, A M Aldridge and E Aldridge. Both Adele and Charles were living in Stanley at the time. Charles’ father was recorded as Thomas Aldridge, publican, and Adele’s father was recorded as Augustus Nicholas Fleuret, manager.4,5,6
  • (Deceased) Death*: Charles Emery Aldridge died on 6 October 1904 at Falkland Islands, , at age 40 Charles, age 40, committed suicide by shooting himself 6 October 1904 and was buried 9 October 1904 in Grave C 249. The inquest verdict was temporarily insane.4,5
  • Name Variation: Charles Emery Aldridge was also known as Charles Brosy Aldridge.4
  • (Witness) Marriage: He witnessed the marriage of Edith Frances Clethero and Alphonse Edward Falkland Fleuret on Wednesday, 30 August 1899 at Parish Church, Stanley, Falkland Islands, ; Alphonse, age 24 and a navvy, was married to (1) Edith Frances CLETHERO, age 24, 30 August 1899 in the Parish Church according to the Rites & Ceremonies of the Established Church after Banns by Lowther E Brandon MA Dean & Colonial Chaplain. The witnesses were Charles Enery Aldridge and John Richard Clethero. Alphonse’s father was recorded as August Nicholas Fleuret, gardener, and Edith’s father was recorded as William Clethero, butcher.6
